Prabal Gurung is a Nepalese-American fashion designer based in New York City. A focus on quality and innovation has placed Gurung at the forefront of American fashion with designs worn by leading ladies including First Lady Michelle Obama and The Duchess of Cambridge.

I was responsible for the complete redesign of his website, e-commerce experiences, and email newsletters.

Process

I created a structure to outline what the overall online experience would be through an information architecture framework and a definition of user flows – which is especially essential for any e-commerce transactions.

Acquisitions & Transactions

In order to acquire a customer and get transactions, I designed a smooth and easy experience for the sign-up, account settings, and checkout processes.

NECESSARY

Interactions

Micro-interactions are what make any site meaningfully usable. I designed the modules, components, dropdown menus, newsletter sign-up, and notification states that are necessary micro-interactions for the website in order to increase transactions and sign-up conversions.

OPTIMIZED

Emails

I also designed the welcome, transactional, marketing promos, editorial, and automated shopping bag reminders with the ability to highlight the outfits in a clean and sophisticated way while also keeping them optimized for transactions.
